How to I get to Casa Ganima from the airport?
Casa Ganima is located 1.5 hour from Liberia International Airport (LIR) or 5+ hours from San Jose International Airport (SJO). Upon booking, our concierge team can connect you with a reliable private shuttle to bring you directly to the home.
How can I book my stay at Casa Ganima?

What is the cancellation policy?
All payments made are *non-refundable.* A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival, or 90 days prior to arrival for holiday bookings.
Is Playa Grande safe?
Playa Grande is a relaxed, family-friendly community, and Costa Rica is considered one of the safest countries in the region. Like many coastal areas, the main concern is occasional petty theft. Casa Ganima is well equipped with a gated property, security system, door and window sensors, and coordination with local night security, allowing guests to feel comfortable and at ease throughout their stay.
Is Casa Ganima good for a work retreat?
Absolutely. Casa Ganima was designed to balance productivity and connection. With Starlink high-speed internet (~375 Mbps), multiple dedicated desk spaces, and private bedrooms for focused work, your team can stay efficient without sacrificing comfort. The layout offers generous gathering areas for strategy sessions alongside quiet corners for independent work. For off-site inspiration, excellent co-working spaces are available nearby. Our concierge team can also coordinate group meals, private chefs, transportation, and curated outings—making it easy to blend meaningful work with unforgettable shared experiences.
What are the check in and check out times?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 9:00 AM. We are open to adjusting timing based on availability and may inquire additional fees.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A $2,500 USD pre-authorization hold is required at the time of booking. This amount will be refunded within 7 days after check-out, minus any deductions for damages or extra charges incurred during your stay. Guests are expected to treat the home and its amenities with care. Any damage caused will be deducted from the security deposit, and guests must report issues promptly to the team.
Can I host an event at Casa Ganima?
Casa Ganima is intended for vacation use only. Parties, events, or any commercial activities are strictly prohibited without prior written consent from the Owner.
Should I get a rental car during my stay?
Playa Grande is a small, walkable community, and many guests enjoy reaching the beach and local spots on foot. If you plan to explore the surrounding area, nearby beaches, or towns, having a rental car can be helpful. Our concierge team is happy to assist with arranging a rental vehicle or private transportation.
Is Casa Ganima good for large families or group vacations?
Yes — Casa Ganima was intentionally designed for large families and group travel. With six spacious bedrooms, multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas, and private corners to unwind, the home comfortably accommodates multi-generational families, two families traveling together, or groups of friends. The open-concept layout makes it easy to cook, dine, and relax together, while the pool, game areas, and walkable beach access ensure there’s something for every age. It’s a space created for connection without sacrificing comfort or privacy.
